The University of Lethbridge Pronghorns upset the defending conference champion University of Victoria Vikes 98-94 in the men’s basketball sa国际传媒 West openers for both teams Friday night in southern Alberta.
Meanwhile, the Pronghorns edged the Vikes 72-71 in the women’s game played in Lethbridge. Ashlyn Day led UVic with 28 points in the sa国际传媒 West opener for both teams.
The Pronghorns and Vikes men’s and women’s teams meet again Saturday night in Lethbridge.
The Vikes open at home next weekend against the University of Winnipeg Wesmen at CARSA Gymnasium.
