Rebels and Raiders renew Island derby tonight in sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Football Conference

The junior clubs had differing results on the road last weekend. The Rebels are 1-3 on the season and come into the game following a 37-7 loss to the undefeated Rams (4-0) in Langley as quarterback Colby Henkel scampered across for Westshore’s lone touchdown.

The Raiders are 2-2 following their 21-19 victory over the Fraser Valley Huskers (2-3) last weekend in Chilliwack as receiver Marcel Grant caught two touchdown passes for the Raiders from quarterback Jake Laberge.

The Okanagan Sun (4-1) and winless Kamloops Broncos (0-4) round out the six-team league.

The BCFC regular season, reduced to eight games from the usual 10, concludes Oct. 30. The playoff semifinals are Nov. 6-7, with the fourth-place team visiting the top seed and the third-place team visiting the second seed.

The Cullen Cup BCFC championship game is Nov. 13 or 14. The Cullen Cup champion will play in the national semifinals Nov. 20. The Canadian Bowl national junior championship game is Dec. 4.
