Renoldo Robinson poured in 46 points to lead the University of Victoria Vikes to a 103-100 sa国际传媒 West men’s basketball overtime victory against the University of Manitoba Bisons on Saturday night in Winnipeg.
The Vikes (9-3) in conference, who were without injured star guard and conference leading-scorer Diego Maffia for both games, lost 83-79 to the Bisons (11-5) on Friday night as Robinson led UVic with 26 points.
It was a key weekend match-up in the league with the Vikes ranked No. 2 in the U Sports national top-10 poll and the Bisons No. 6.
In women’s sa国际传媒 West action, the UVic Vikes (4-8) defeated Manitoba (4-12) by a 77-42 count on Saturday as Abigail Becker led UVic with 20 points. The Vikes split their weekend series with the Bisons.
The UVic teams return to Ken and Kathy Shields Court at CARSA Gym to take on the University of Saskatchewan, Huskies next Friday and Saturday.
