Rory Smith won the 42nd running of the Shockwave sa国际传媒 200 presented by the City of Langford late Saturday night at Westshore Motorsports Park, formerly known as Western Speedway.
The annual race features 30 of the top late-model stock car drivers in sa国际传媒 and was the second career victory in the event for the veteran driver Smith, who held steady in his No. 16 Chevy Camaro, despite a late-race restart.
Defending-champion Brandon Carlson was second, 1.16 seconds behind the winner, after battling Smith nearly wheel-to-wheel during the 200 laps around Westshore Motorsports Park track.
Rounding out the top-five were Korbin Thomas in third place, Wes Mader in fourth and Kirt Rompain in fifth.
