The Saanich Braves open play on their 45th Junior B season tonight as they entertain the Kerry Park Islanders at 6: 30 p.m. at Pearkes arena.
As part of the festivities the first 45 fans will receive a Braves cowbell to help cheer on the team during their 2012-13 VIJHL regular-season opener.
"We are looking forward to a packed house," said advertising and promotions manager KristyLynn Carlson.
"Braves fans are in for an exciting season both on and off the ice."
A tailgate party, sponsored by Red Barn Market, will begin at 5: 30 p.m. in the Pearkes parking lot.
