Shamrocks keep it rolling in Maple Ridge

Gibson, a Western Lacrosse Association rookie sniper out of NCAA Div. 1 Robert Morris, helped move Victoria to 8-4 on the season, while the Burrards fell to 8-4-1.

Also scoring for the Shamrocks was Rob Hellyer, on a five-point night, Casey Jackson in a four-point outing, and league points-leader Jesse King on a three-point game. Mike Mallory led Maple Ridge with two goals.

Victoria鈥檚 special teams proved decisive by going three-for-six on the power play while one of Gibson鈥檚 goals came short-handed.

Frank Scigliano made 44 saves in goal for Maple Ridge and Adam Shute 34 for Victoria.

Also on Sunday, the Timbermen (6-6-1) upended the league-leading New Westminster Salmonbellies (9-3) by an 11-9 scoreline at Frank Crane Arena in Nanaimo to follow up the T-Men鈥檚 12-10 home victory over Langley Thunder (4-8-1) the night before on the Island.

The Shamrocks are in Burnaby to play the Lakers (4-6-1) on Friday night while the Timbermen host the Lakers on Saturday night before heading to Maple Ridge to play the Burrards on Sunday.
