Shamrocks rally late to edge Lakers

The Victoria Shamrocks edged the Burnaby Lakers 11-9 in a Western Lacrosse Association game on Friday night at Bill Copeland Arena. The Shamrocks are 9-4 on the season and Burnaby 5-5-1.

The Victoria Shamrocks edged the Burnaby Lakers 11-9 in a Western Lacrosse Association game on Friday night at Bill Copeland Arena.

The Shamrocks are 9-4 on the season and Burnaby 5-5-1.

Victoria was missing injured scoring threats Rhys Duch and Chris Wardle, both of whom are NLL pros during the winter season.

Rob Hellyer had three goals and eight points for Victoria.

The Shamrocks are in Langley on Wednesday night to play the Thunder before meeting the Maple Ridge Burrards in

The Q Centre Friday and then visiting Coquitlam the following night.
