The Victoria Shamrocks just keep rolling right along.
The red-hot Shamrocks went into Frank Crane Arena on Thursday night and beat the Nanaimo Timbermen 10-5 in the Western Lacrosse Association’s Island derby.
The victory, Victoria’s sixth in a row, improves the Shamrocks’ record to 7-4, while the Timbermen drop to 7-3.
Chris Boushy led the Shamrocks with three goals, while Jesse King added a pair. Tyler Burton, Josh Fagan, Larson Sundown and Matt Yager rounded out the scoring for Victoria.
Jon Phillips led the Timbermen with two goals. Brody Eastwood, Cam Wengrenuik and Evan Messenger had the other Naniamo goals.
Peter Dubenski made 44 saves in goal for the Shamrocks, while Charles Claxton stopped 36 in the Timbermen net.
Victoria now crosses the strait tonight to meet the Burnaby Lakers (8-3) at Bill Copeland Arena.
