The sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Hockey League released its schedule for the 2018 Bauer BCHL Showcase on Tuesday and for the Victoria Grizzlies there is some definite Interior Division flavour to it.

The Grizzlies’ two Showcase games will be against Interior Division teams — Sept. 20 against the Merritt Centennials and Sept. 21 against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

All Showcase games will again take place at Prospera Centre, home of the Chilliwack Chiefs, and they all count in the standings. The event runs from Sept. 20 to Sept. 22 with all BCHL teams playing two games. The event is held to allow professional and NCAA scouts to come together for one weekend and see all available teams in action. Last season, there were scouts from all NHL teams and numerous NCAA coaches in attendance.

The Grizzlies open training camp on Aug. 20, with the season opener on Sept. 8 in Powell River against the Kings.

The Cowichan Valley Capitals will play Showcase games on Sept. 21 against the Chiefs and Sept. 22 versus the Coquitlam Express, while the Nanaimo Clippers square off against the Vernon Vipers on Sept. 20 and West Kelowna Warriors on Sept. 21.
