Tickets for the Mann Cup — sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½â€™s senior A lacrosse championship — will go on sale today for Victoria Shamrocks season-seat holders, who have first right of refusal.
Tickets for the general public will begin Monday as the team prepares to play host to the prestigious best-of-seven series.
The two-time Western Lacrosse Association champions await the winner of the Six Nations Chiefs-versus-Peterborough Lakers series. The two-time defending Mann Cup champion Chiefs lead that best-of-seven 3-2 with Game 6 on Thursday.
Game 1 of the Mann Cup is set for Sept. 4 with Games 2-4 following on Sept. 5, 7 and 8 at The Q Centre. If necessary, Game 5 is Sept. 9 with Games 6 and 7 slated for Sept. 11 and 12, all with start times of 7 p.m.
Tickets sales are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Friday at the Shamrocks’ office (967 Langford Parkway) or by phone (250-467-ROCK) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but just for season-seat holders. Other fans can receive the same priority if they make a commitment to 2016 season tickets. A $50 deposit (non-refundable) will be required to take advantage of that option.
General public tickets will be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the team office on Aug. 31-Sept. 3 or at The Q Centre ticket office from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on those same dates. Phone sales commence at 10 a.m. on Monday and go to 4 p.m., but an extra $2.60 charge does apply.
On game day, sales will begin at 11 a.m. through all three avenues with the office and phones closing at 3 p.m.
