The sa国际传媒 Island Savings Open will once again blaze the trail in 2013 as the PGA Tour sa国际传媒 鈥 formerly the Canadian Tour 鈥 officially released stops for its upcoming golf season.

Players will tee it up at Uplands Golf Club in Victoria on June 3-9 before moving east across the country.

Seven events 鈥 all with a $150,000 purse 鈥 have been confirmed, but at least one more is expected to come on board for the inaugural PGA Tour sa国际传媒 campaign.

鈥淭his is a very solid starting point for our schedule,鈥 PGA Tour sa国际传媒 president Jeff Monday said in a Thursday release, outlining the schedule.

鈥淥ur goal is to provide our members with quality events with long-term commitments, which leave a lasting impact in the communities we play and we feel we are well on our way to achieving those goals. We are working on several opportunities to increase the number of events not only this year, but in 2014.鈥

The tour will move from Victoria to Calgary on June 17-23 and onto Saskatoon July 1-7. It then doubles back to Fort McMurray, Alta., from July 8-14 for the Syncrude Boreal Open, with Victoria鈥檚 Corey Renfrew as the defending champion.

That event is followed by The Players鈥 Cup in Winnipeg on July 15-21, before the tour breaks and returns to Atlantic sa国际传媒 to play the inaugural Cape Breton Celtic Classic in Nova Scotia, Sept. 2-8. The Tour Championship is set for Sept. 9-15.

A new hitch to the Tour means the top five players on the Order of Merit at season鈥檚 end will earn playing status for the 2014 Web.com Tour, with the overall leader receiving exempt status for the season. Players finishing sixth to 10th on the money list will be exempt into the final stage of Web.com Tour qualifying school in the fall of 2013.

鈥淥ver the past 23 years, the Web.com Tour has been the path to the PGA Tour for a number of Canadian players,鈥 Web.com Tour president Bill Calfee said in the release. 鈥淲ith an exciting new era in PGA Tour qualifying upon us, we look forward to watching the talent develop on PGA Tour sa国际传媒, and ultimately watching them compete for the 50 PGA Tour cards on the Web.com Tour.鈥

PGA Tour sa国际传媒 will hold its qualifying school April 7-12 at the Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon in Beaumont, California
