The Victoria Racquet Club Kings, Juan de Fuca Grizzlies and Saanich Braves bantam teams will all play host to the Hong Kong Typhoons in international exhibition games this week.

It all begins today at 8:15 a.m. as the Saanich Brave entertain the Typhoons at The Q Centre, followed by a 5 p.m. matchup against the VRC Kings at the Ian Stewart Complex arena. The latter two teams will play again on Friday at 5 p.m. and Hong Kong will also meet Juan de Fuca on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at The Q Centre.

鈥淲e don鈥檛 know a lot about them, but it鈥檚 sure going to be exciting for the kids,鈥 said Racquet Club head coach Rob Millikin. 鈥淚t鈥檚 intriguing, to say the least, to see what their structure will be like and their ability levels. Who would have ever thought that we would be able to play a team from Hong Kong?鈥

The Typhoons are one of several teams on their way to Kamloops for the annual Kamloops International Bantam Tournament, beginning Dec. 28. The Typhoons are in Tier 2 competition in Kamloops, along with teams such as the Campbell River Tyees and Alaska Aces.

Tier 1 involves 14 teams including the Juan de Fuca Grizzlies and Saanich Braves.
