The graduating fifth-year star shooting guard, No. 4 on the all-time University of Victoria Vikes women’s basketball career scoring list, lit it up for 26 points in a 59-50 victory for the Vikes over the MacEwan University Griffins of Edmonton.

Guard Kayla Ivicak accounted for more than half of the Griffins’ points by also pouring in 26 points.

The Vikes, who have clinched a sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ West playoff berth, improved to 11-8 in conference play. The Griffins, fighting for their playoff lives, fell to 6-13.

UVic and MacEwan meet again tonight in what will be the final home regular-season game for graduating Vikes Giannattasio and Paige Thomson.

Meanwhile, the UVic Vikes men’s team (9-10) clinched a sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ West Conference playoff berth with a 107-64 victory over MacEwan (1-18) on Friday night.
