UVic Vikes men win, women lose in sa国际传媒 West basketball action in Regina

The University of Victoria Vikes (10-2), ranked No. 3 in the U Sports national rankings, dispatched the University of Regina Cougars 91-67 in sa国际传媒 West men鈥檚 basketball play Saturday night in the Saskatchewan capital. The Cougars fell to 5-5.

Shooting-guard Diego Maffia led the Vikes with 25 points while freshman Renoldo Robinson fired home 18 points and sophomore Elias Ralph 15. Jalen Edwards led the Cougars with 16 points.

In sa国际传媒 West women’s action, the conference-leading Regina Cougars (9-1) defeated the UVic Vikes (4-8) by a 78-72 count. Abigail Becker led UVic with 29 points while Kate Johnson and Mimi Sigue scored 15 points each.

The Vikes meet their University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves counterparts next Friday and Saturday at CARSA Gymnasium on the UVic campus.
