UVic Vikes record weekend sweep of Fraser Valley in sa国际传媒 West men's basketball

The University of Victoria Vikes swept the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades in men鈥檚 basketball action over the weekend in Abbotsford to move to 14-1 in sa国际传媒 West. The Cascades dropped to 9-9.

The University of Victoria Vikes swept the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades in men’s basketball action over the weekend in Abbotsford to move to 14-1 in sa国际传媒 West. The Cascades dropped to 9-9.

UVic downed the Cascades 86-55 on Saturday following the Vikes’ 107-67 victory on Friday night. Forward Dominick Oliveri led UVic with 15 points on Saturday as guard Diego Maffia added 13 on Saturday. Maffia scored 26 points and forward Elias Ralph 14 on Friday.

The Vikes will play the Thompson Rivers University Wolfpack on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in CARSA Gymnasium.

Meanwhile, the UVic Vikes (9-7) were swept by the Cascades (14-2) in sa国际传媒 West women’s play.

Fraser Valley won 71-44 on Friday as Calli McMillan had 13 points for UVic and Aleah Ashlee 11. The Cascades followed up with a 71-57 victory on Saturday. Ashlee led UVic with 19 points while Ashlyn Day added 18.
