Diego Maffia’s 31 points paced the University of Victoria Vikes (1-1) to an 88-60 victory over the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns (1-1) in sa国际传媒 West men’s basketball action Saturday night in Southern Alberta.
Elias Ralph added 15 points for UVic.
Meanwhile, the UVic Vikes (1-1) edged the Pronghorns (1-1) 71-69 in the sa国际传媒 West women’s game Saturday in Lethbridge as Ashlyn Day scored 34 points for the Vikes. Mime Sigue added 12 points for the Vikes.
The Vikes men’s and women’s squads open conference play at home next Friday and Saturday against he University of Winnipeg Wesmen at CARSA Gymnasium.
