The University of Victoria Vikes defeated the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack 64-48 in sa国际传媒 West women’s basketball action in Kamloops on Saturday night. Kate Johnson led UVic with 15 points while Sierra Reisig added 11 points.
The Vikes, who beat Thompson Rivers 71-45 on Friday, moved to 7-9 in conference while Thompson Rivers fell to 1-15.
The UVic Vikes, 13-2 and ranked No. 2 nationally in the U Sports top-10 poll, were playing the WolfPack (5-10) in the late-finishing sa国际传媒 West men’s game Saturday night.
The Vikes beat the WolfPack 96-59 in Friday’s late-finishing game as Diego Maffia led UVic with 22 points and freshman Izzy Helman added 20 points.
The Vikes teams are in Kelowna next weekend to meet their UBC-Okanagan counterparts.
