Former Team sa国际传媒 member Leanne Evans is joining the University of Victoria Vikes women's basketball team as the assistant coach for the 2012-13 season, the school announced Thursday.
Evans, 26, began her collegiate experience at Southeast Missouri in 2004-05, where she helped the Redhawks go 14-2 in conference play. The Port Moody native returned to sa国际传媒 and after red shirting a year, played three seasons with UBC, and helped the Thunderbirds win CIS national titles in 2006 and 2008.
Evans previously competed for both the under-19 and under-21 Canadian national teams, and played for Victoria head coach Rich Chambers when she was a junior.
