The Victoria Grizzlies (4-1-1) and Langley Rivermen skated to a 3-3 draw Saturday in the sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Hockey League Showcase at Chilliwack.
Two goals by Nathan Looysen staked the Grizzlies to a 3-1 lead. Cam Thompson, who made it 2-0 with his first goal of the season, also scored for Victoria.
Cole Pickup registered two assists for the Grizzlies, who outshot the Rivermen 40-27.
It’s a quick turnaround to Victoria’s next game, which is this morning at 10 a.m. against the Trail Smoke Eaters.
The BCHL Showcase, a regular-season jamboree featuring many of the teams in the league and held annually in Chilliwack, is a one-stop weekend shopping opportunity for both U.S. collegiate NCAA and pro scouts.
