The Victoria HarbourCats helped themselves on Saturday night, but still haven鈥檛 received any assistance on the out-of-town scoreboard.
Victoria bounced back from a 4-1 first-inning deficit to post an 8-6 road victory over the Wenatchee AppleSox in West Coast League play.
The HarbourCats remain two games back of the Corvallis Knights in the wild-card race after a 6-2 win for the Knights over the Walla Walla Sweets. The Yakima Valley Pippins also defeated the Cowlitz Black Bears 7-2 to remain a half-game up in that department.
Victoria sits 24-22 in the standings behind the 26-20 Knights and 25-22 Pippins.
Pitcher Josh Walker started for Victoria while the AppleSox countered with Gage Burland. No statistical details were available due to a technical glitch with the website.
The HarbourCats close out the series tonight at 6:05 p.m. before returning home to face the Pippins in a critical three-game series starting on Monday at 6:35 p.m. at Sports Traders Diamond at Royal Athletic Park.
