The Victoria Royals will open the home portion of their 2019-20 Western Hockey League regular season on Sept. 27 against the Prince George Cougars at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.
The WHL will announce the complete regualr season schedule on Wednesday. Each of the 22 team’s home openers were announced Monday by the league as a teaser.
Each WHL team will play 68 regular-season games.
The WHL’s exhibition schedule has previously been announced. The Royals will open the pre-season in Kelowna on Aug. 30 to play the Rockets and in Kamloops on Aug. 31 to take on the Blazers. Victoria will then play in the Vancouver Giants’ pre-season tournament at the Langley Events Centre, meeting the defending sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Division and Western Conference-champion Giants on Sept. 6, the Kamloops Blazers on Sept. 7 and Everett Silvertips on Sept. 8.
