Point-guard Scott Kellum hit a three-point shot at the buzzer to give the University of Victoria Vikes a 75-72 sa国际传媒 West men鈥檚 basketball road victory over the University of Winnipeg Wesman on Saturday evening.
Jason Scully scored 15 points and Jordan Charles 12 for UVic.
The Vikes and Wesmen are now 1-1 in conference play.
Meanwhile, fifth-year Amira Giannattasio scored 28 points to lead four UVic Vikes in double figures as the visitors scored an opening weekend sa国际传媒 West women鈥檚 sweep with a 79-67 victory over the host Wesmen in a sa国际传媒 West game on Saturday.
The Vikes men host UBC on Thursday at CARSA Gym in their sa国际传媒 West home opener while the UVic women are at UBC War Memorial Gym in Vancouver. The Vikes women host UBC at CARSA Gym next Saturday while the men travel to Vancouver to take on the Thunderbirds at War Memorial.
