Razzle-dazzle plays helped and hurt the Westshore Rebels on Saturday as they fell 42-9 to the Langley Rams in sa国际传媒 Football Conference play at McLeod Athletic Park.
The Rebels used a fake field goal to close the gap to 21-8 just 30 seconds before halftime as holder and backup quarterback Talyn Davies pulled the ball away to spot receiver Joe Barkhouse for a 10-yard touchdown pass. It was Barkhouse鈥檚 third touchdown in two weeks. But the Rams struck right back as quarterback Dylan Tucker鈥檚 lateral to Bobby Pospischil was then relayed into a 71-yard TD pass to Nathan Lund to extend the advantage to 28-8 on the final play of the half.
It was that type of day, as the Rebels fell to 1-4 on the season and the Rams improved to 3-2.
Tucker, Pospischil, Dallas Yassinsky and Jacob Patko all added major scores for the Rams.
The only other scoring for the Rebels were a pair of punts that went for singles.
