Christine Dalgleish

Christine Dalgleish is a full-time reporter at the Prince George Citizen newspaper who covers arts and entertainment, community news and most importantly the people of Prince George.

She finagled her way into freelancing in the sports department at PG This Week, The Citizen's weekly sister paper, in early 2000 with no experience whatsoever, where she turned every story she wrote into a people feature.

Christine then managed to convince the editor to hire her full-time later that year, learning on the job and eventually moving into the editor position. She finally found her way across the street to the Citizen's big newsroom in 2006. She's been with the paper of record in Prince George ever since.

When not reporting, Christine throws many things as part of her masters athlete track and field pursuits. She throws hammer, weight, discus, shot put and javelin and currently holds the BC Masters outdoor record in weight throw in her age category.

Reach out to Christine with story ideas or to chat about throwing because, you know, it's not a topic that comes up in conversation very often.
