Sunfest has announced another wave of performers for its upcoming edition, which takes place Aug. 3-6 in Lake Cowichan.
Grammy Award nominee Billy Currington, rising star Lainey Wilson and two-time Juno Award nominee Jade Eagleson will join The Voice host Blake Shelton as headliners at this year’s festival. The four-day event will also include performances by High Valley, Lonestar, Jess Moskaluke, Kameron Marlowe, and Bobby Wills, among others.
The remainder of acts scheduled to appear will be announced in the coming weeks, according to organizers.
Sunfest is set for a banner year, with numerous ticket and camping packages close to selling out five months in advance. With the recent cancellation of Merritt’s Rockin River Country Music Festival, the locally-owned event, which is held at the 250-acre Laketown Ranch Music and Recreation Park in Lake Cowichan, now stands as the biggest country music festival in the province.
