Mayfair Shopping Centre is pitching in to end bullying in sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ with an awareness campaign, beginning Wednesday and culminating on Feb. 24, Pink Shirt Day.

We couldn’t help notice how many filmmakers from North America and places as far afield as Iceland and China who flew in for this year’s Victoria Film Festival found themselves having flashbacks.

• Oct. 12, 2011 - South Island Aggregates Ltd. submits its initial application to treat and store up to 100,000 tonnes of contaminated soil a year in a rock quarry on Stebbings Road. The quarry site is owned by Cobble Hill Holdings Ltd.

SHAWNIGAN LAKE — It’s 9:30 on a drizzly Thursday morning and Ed Wiebe is back on the front lines in the battle of Stebbings Road.
