HALIFAX — British Columbia’s premier says trying to work with the federal government can feel like “beating our head against a wall.”

During a news conference in Halifax, Premier David Eby said he’s continually disappointed by the lack of teamwork with Ottawa.

Eby, who is in town for a conference of sa国际传媒's premiers, says he's baffled Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has not met with the country's premiers to discuss pressing issues, despite repeated requests from them.

Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston, who is hosting the conference, echoed similar sentiments in a recent letter to Trudeau.

Houston asked the prime minister to “work with us in a true partnership” in order to revive the "collaborative spirit of the federation."

Nova Scotia's premier also urged the prime minister to stop with "unilateral action" in areas of provincial jurisdiction, like health care, housing and education.
