Don't forget that cycling is fun

Re: "Don't go hastily down cycle path," editorial, Aug. 17. The best part of your editorial was halfway down - "what's not to like? Cleaner air, healthier people, quieter streets, lower costs." There is one other plus.

ICBC needs money to pay for managers

Re: "ICBC told to slash costs, CEO resigns," Aug. 17. I was outraged when I read about the huge salaries and generous perks enjoyed by the head honchos at ICBC. Why the anger? My disabled son was recently rear-ended while standing still in his truck.

British Columbia leads the country in reducing the spread of AIDS - there's no reason it can't lead the world in eliminating the disease altogether. B AIDS is one of the world's deadliest diseases, afflicting nearly 40 million people.
