To the person in a white Mazda CX-9 who recently drove past me going at least 120 km/h in a 90-km/h section of the Pat Bay Highway (on the way to the ferry). If you choose to drive the way you do, that is at your peril.

Re: 鈥淰oters need more details on system,鈥 letter, Oct. 5. The letter-writer asks for details on the proposed new voting system. A simple internet search provides Wikipedia鈥檚 numbers.

Advance polls could give some an edge

I鈥檓 not sure who is in charge of where to put the advance polling stations in our upcoming Victoria civic election. They are somewhat different than in previous years.

Elsner had impressive approach to policing

Too much harm and very little reduction

Recently, the local news has focused much attention on the continuing homeless camps in Greater Victoria and Nanaimo and the impact they have on any place they occupy for a time.
