April 17: Immigration decisions are based on merit

Re: 鈥淏ase immigration decisions on merit,鈥 letter, April 12. The writer of the letter clearly shows how ignorant many Canadians are about our own immigration system. This might be the root cause of some of the anti-immigration rhetoric out there.
