Re: 鈥淲hat you won鈥檛 hear during the campaign,鈥� comment, Sept. 30. I decided to take the concerns expressed in the above commentary in the Islander to my candidates.

Are there any decent men left in the world? If it weren鈥檛 for my daily interactions with decent blokes in and around Victoria, I think even I would be having doubts.

A note to the dairy farmers of sa国际传媒 Get logo labels saying 鈥淧roduct of Vancouver Island, sa国际传媒 or sa国际传媒鈥� printed and plastered on all products. In the main, Canadians will respond to negate any losses incurred by U.S. imported products.

Re: 鈥渟a国际传媒 limits rent increases to 2.5聽per cent annually,鈥� Sept. 27. I am neither a tenant nor landlord but I see this latest effort by the NDP to be: 鈥淭ax it now. We will amend it later, after the dust settles.

When I worked in local government, staff were always reminding elected officials to keep an open mind, especially during public hearings and at campaign time.
