The solution to the doctor shortage has everything to do with provincial finances and the discipline to properly fund a program dealing with the doctor shortage.

When we moved to Victoria several years ago, someone commented that: 鈥淵ou鈥檒l get into more trouble here for cutting down a Garry oak than for molesting a child.鈥� At the time, I thought this must be a gross exaggeration.

Re: 鈥淢useum will be a tough sell,鈥� editorial, Feb. 5. The editorial makes good sense. The building in Bastion Square is not on the water, and it is an inappropriate location.

Re: 鈥淭hree dead after train derails near Field,鈥� Feb. 5. If the freight train that derailed killing the three crew members aboard had been pulling rail cars filled with oil rather than grain, there would have been a major environmental disaster.
