Only Victoria has police-board problem

Re: 鈥淧rovince must fix impasse over police budget,鈥 column, Jan. 31. Police-board governance might be imperfect but, contrary to Catherine Holt鈥檚 suggestion, it is hardly the root cause of the budget and other issues plaguing Victoria and Esquimalt.

Take voting stations to聽the young people

I was a clerk at one of the polling stations for the recent Nanaimo byelection. Voter turnout was 53 per cent for an election that could have affected the balance of power in the legislature.
