Re: 鈥淥usted tenters vow to stay together,鈥 Sept. 19. The first thing I saw when I got the paper on Wednesday morning was the tent-city picture. I was a single parent with no child support. I applied for a job and got it.

Use vacant lots for聽homeless people

I have an idea for the homeless people. Victoria and Saanich have many lots that are empty. A prime location is the former Mayfair Bowling Alley. Currently, it is a big empty lot that has been undeveloped for years.

Hard work is good; so聽is empathy

Supply housing trailers for homeless

While permanently resolving the plight of those in the downtrodden homeless camps remains a conundrum that goes on and on and on, there is a cost-effective interim solution.
